Refund Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with Hostsmith. This policy describes when and how you can request a refund.

When we say "Company", "we", "our", or "us" in this document, we are referring to ops42 OU.

This policy is part of our Terms of Service and applies to all paid subscriptions to Hostsmith.

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with your paid subscription, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of your initial payment. This applies to your first payment on a new plan - no questions asked.

To request a refund under this guarantee, contact us at contact@hostsmith.net within 7 days of your payment date. We will process your refund within 5-10 business days to your original payment method.

EU Consumer Rights (14-Day Withdrawal)

If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your subscription contract without giving a reason within 14 calendar days of entering into it, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).

To exercise this right, contact us at contact@hostsmith.net before the 14-day period expires. We will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days from the day we receive your request, using the same means of payment you used for the original transaction.

You will receive a full refund of all charges paid, unless during that 14-day period you started using Hostsmith and during your purchase you agreed for the service to be made available to you before the end of the withdrawal period. In that case, our 7-day money-back guarantee still applies for the first 7 days.

Renewals and Recurring Charges

  1. Subscription renewals are not eligible for a refund unless required by applicable law. We send a renewal reminder at least 3 days before your billing date so you have time to cancel.
  2. If you believe a renewal was charged in error, contact us within 14 days of the charge and we will review it.
  3. To avoid future charges, cancel your subscription before the renewal date. Cancellation instructions are in your account settings or available by contacting us.

Plan Upgrades and Downgrades

  1. When you upgrade your plan, you are charged immediately for the new plan. Any unused time on your previous plan is not refunded but may be credited at our discretion.
  2. Downgrading a plan takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle. No partial refund is issued for the remaining time on the higher-tier plan.

Chargebacks and Disputes

We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer. Chargebacks can result in suspension of your account. If you have a billing concern, we are happy to resolve it directly and quickly.

Service Disruptions

If Hostsmith experiences significant downtime or a service failure that materially impacts your use of the product, you may contact us to request a service credit. We evaluate these on a case-by-case basis and will act reasonably.

Termination by Us

If we terminate your account for reasons other than a violation of our Terms of Service, we will work with you to reach a fair resolution for any charges already paid.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please email us at contact@hostsmith.net with:

  • The email address associated with your account
  • The date of the charge
  • The reason for your refund request (optional, but helpful)

We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and aim to resolve it promptly.
